What cookies are and why we use them

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store on your computer, phone or tablet. When you come back, your browser sends the file back to us, so the site can recognise your device, keep you signed in and remember the choices you made on your last visit.

We also use technologies that work in a similar way, such as tags in pages, pixels in e-mails and storage built into your browser. Where this policy says cookies, it covers those as well.

We set cookies for a small number of reasons, and we do not use them to collect more than the purpose needs:

  • Security and account protection - keeping your session tied to your device and spotting unusual sign-in activity.
  • Site function - holding your place as you move between the lobby, a game and the cashier.
  • Measurement - counting visits, pages and errors so we can fix what is slow or broken.
  • Marketing - measuring our own campaigns and showing our adverts on other sites.

Strictly necessary cookies are set as soon as you open the site, because we cannot deliver the site without them. Everything else is set only if you agree to it in the cookie notice, and you can change or withdraw that agreement whenever you like.

Your choice is stored per device

Cookie settings are saved in the browser you are using at the time. If you play on a phone and a laptop, you will be asked in each one.

The types of cookies we use

The table below is a summary. The headings underneath explain each category in plainer terms, with examples of the job a cookie does rather than the names of the tools involved.

Strictly necessary

These cookies keep the site usable and your account safe. They let you sign in and stay signed in as you move from the lobby to the cashier, they help us spread traffic across our servers, and they support the account checks we are required to carry out as the holder of a gaming licence, including identity verification. They also store the choices you make in the cookie notice, so we do not ask you the same question on every page. They support the safer gambling tools in your account too, by making sure a deposit limit or a time-out applies the moment you set it. These cookies cannot be switched off from the notice.

Performance and analytics

These cookies tell us how the site is used overall: which pages are opened, how long they take to load, where a form is left unfinished and which errors appear most often. The reports we receive are statistical, and we use them to fix problems and decide what to work on next.

Functionality

These cookies remember the preferences you set, so the site behaves the way you left it. Examples include your chosen language, whether you asked for sound to stay off, the layout of the lobby and a message you have already dismissed. If they are cleared, the site still works but returns to its defaults.

Marketing

These cookies help us measure our advertising and show our adverts on other websites you visit. They record, for example, that a visit came from a particular campaign, or that you have already seen an advert, so it is not shown to you again. Our advertising is aimed only at adults aged 18 and over, and we do not use these cookies to market to anyone who has opted out or who has registered for self-exclusion.

What happens if you block cookies

Turning off the optional categories does not affect your ability to play, deposit or withdraw. Blocking strictly necessary cookies is different: we cannot keep you signed in, and parts of the site may stop responding.

  • You may be signed out when you move between pages or open a game.
  • The cashier may not be able to complete a deposit or a withdrawal request.
  • Preferences such as language or layout will reset on every visit.
  • The cookie notice will keep appearing, because your choice cannot be stored.

If the site stops responding

Allow strictly necessary cookies for this site and reload the page. If the problem continues, our live chat team can take you through it step by step.

How to reach us about cookies

If you have a question about this policy, want to know more about a particular cookie, or would like help changing your settings, e-mail us at support@casinoluckycarnival.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. It helps if you tell us which browser and device you were using.

We update this policy when the cookies we set change, or when we change what we use them for. The version published on this page is always the current one, and the date it was last changed is shown with it.

Our site is for adults aged 18 and over. Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are available in your account, and free, confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare, GamStop and the National Gambling Helpline. Cookies play no part in those tools beyond making sure the settings you choose take effect.
